NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- In July and August of 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism reported record numbers of visitors from the United States. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans in July 2022. This was a 4 percent increase from 2019 seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.



Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He said, "It's so exciting to witness a further rise in tourism to Israel from the United States, and already reaching or surpassing the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019". "The United States has been our most important market for Israel's tourism inbound. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 we were celebrating record numbers of Israel's tourism entry each month.

"It is thrilling to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is rebounding," said Gal Hana Director and Consul for Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are near our record numbers for the year 2019. We expect that this growth will continue to grow as Canadians are more active in traveling abroad.

Israel welcomed over 4.6 million tourists in the year of 2019. 969,600 came from the United States. The country's officially reopening to travelers in May was a success, with more than 600,000.
