Let's get going!

How Many Villager Jobs are There in Minecraft?

There are currently 15 villager positions in Minecraft. This is a list listing all the possible jobs villagers could get. You can put the job block that matches the job you are looking for next to Unemployed Villager in case you wish to apply for an opportunity. The job assigned to the villager will determine the kind of trades they can offer. Villagers can be removed from their job block when you don't have an unemployed villager. If you don't get the desired trades from a villager you can break the job block, then put it back in place to allow them to load their trades.

Villager Appearance:

Not only do the tasks of villager vary based on their job, but their appearance will be different in every biome. They keep the characteristics specific to their job so that each job is distinct. For instance Farmers all wear a straw hat and all Librarians will wear glasses.

Stock trading

Mojang introduced the wonderful concept of 'Supply & Demand' in Mojang 1.14. This means that if a transaction is carried out too frequently, not only will the villager be short of stock, but also prices (the quantity of the items or gemstones you need to give) will increase. Trades can be completed up to four times before the stock runs out. Villagers will restock twice a day. The cost of an item will decrease when it's not traded.

Unlocking Trades:

When a trade occurs between a villager as well as the player, both gain experience. The next tier of trades can be unlocked once villagers level up. Villagers have five levels of trades which unlock gradually higher quality items. The level of the villager can be represented by a color-coded badge that is worn on their clothing. It can range from Novice (Stone), Apprentice (Iron), Journeyman/Gold), Expert(Emerald) up to Master(Diamond).

Wandering Trader

This is somewhat different, but there is one villager that is different from the other villager. The Wandering Trader is a passive Mob that appears randomly throughout the world, with seemingly no pattern. It has two trading llamas that are similar to normal llamas with a cosmetic modification. Another thing that is unique about this Villager is that it doesn't have trading levels, which means the trades you've made with him are the ones that you're stuck with. Fear not though, for his trades will reset the next time he appears.

The services provided by the Wandering Trader are regarded as typically obscure, and difficult items to obtain. Not the most impressive or effective, but valuable nevertheless. The Wandering Trader will disappear within 40-60 minutes.

Popularity:

As a player, you have a level of popularity. 1 Site In the event of a negative action, such as attacking villages could decrease your popularity, while trading frequently or curing zombie villagers are good ways to boost the amount of popularity. Negative actions can increase prices while positive actions may reduce them.

Let's say Illagers attack your village without warning. You are in the vicinity and you can fend off the attack. You will be rewarded with the 'Hero Of The Village' status effect, which will further reduce the cost of trade (except for trades that cost 1 emerald.)

These are the basics of villager jobs as well as village trading. You should now be able to manage that villager farm as a pro! I Only Care About Smiles Per Gallon Mojang feels the need to take the carpet off the floor often and, for better or worse, trading in Minecraft is somewhat more complicated due to Supply & Demand mechanics, along with the popularity function. You can use these features to greatly assist you, or ruin the trading economy on your Minecraft server. I hope you find this article useful. Best of luck and I wish you all the best!
